What is the owl in the Diamond Eyes music video?
In the music video for the song Diamond Eyes by Deftones, it shows a particular species of owls multiple times, but I don't know what the species is. I want to say that it is a barn owl but I'm not positive. If you could help, it'd be very appreciated.|||Yes, it is most certainly a Barn Owl. They are a widely distributed species of owl of the family Tytonidae.|||^someone likes wikipedia a bit too much
Can a prong setting in a diamond ring be changed to a Halo?
I have a Simon G fillagree engagement ring w/a 4 prong setting. It appears as though the setting head w/the prongs can be removed . I would like to get a halo pave setting for my diamond. Has anyone had this done to their ring? Is it even possible?|||You cannot modify an existing prong set or if you had a jeweler who would do this, I doubt it would come out to your liking. It鈥檚 best to get the ring reset in a new setting. Here is an example of a Halo setting I really like.
Good luck!
Good luck!
What is that mineral similar to diamond?
It looks just like it and I have heard its usually used as an alternative for diamond rings. What is it called?|||two simulants are popular at the moment, Cubic Zirconia and Moisonite.
neither could fool a gemologist, but both are attractive.
CZ is very inexpensive, moisonite is much more pricey.
neither is a very good alternative for an engagement ring.|||Hm...I think the first answerer knows it.

Birkenstock sizing: Are my feet too big for the size I bought?
I purchased a size 36 (because that's the size when the sales girl measured my foot) regular Gizeh sandals. 36 is my usual size (that's US size 6).
When I wore them after 1 month, my feet look as if they've grown bigger. The space between the front of the footbed's edge and my big toe (which is the longest toe) is about 2 to 3 mm. Do I buy size 37 narrow for my next pair or be measured again?|||Sure, why not?

Physics Center of Mass Problem Help Please!?
The Great Pyramid of Cheops at El Gizeh, Egypt, had height H = 147 m before its topmost stone fell. Its base is a square with edge length L = 230 m. Its volume V is equal to L2H/3. Assuming that it has uniform density = 2.20脳103 kg/m3, find the original height of its center of mass above the base.|||H/4. Simply.
If you also have the second part to find the work then it
requires you to find the mass by using the density formula (D = m/v). Solve for m. Then use mgh. With h being your center of mass from part 1.That's it. My answer was to the 12th power so don't worry if your answer is big.

What is the function of the great sphinx of gizeh?
Hi. It was a perfect shape to build out of the wind eroded hill.|||Some say it points to certain alignment of stars, involving Leo and Orion, some 10,000 years ago.
With some foundation stones weighing upwards of 200 tonnes, there are only a few cranes in the world that could build the thing today. Duh! Ancient Egyptians had some very fancy anti-grav and other technology.
