What is your opinion on a ziamond engagement ring as opposed to diamond?

The information I've read says it's a high quality cubic zirconia and it looks nice but I don' know what the long term benefits of having a diamond vs. a ziamond are...|||From what I've seen, diamonds aren't THAT expensive. Get her the real deal. Diamond is one of the strongest, most durable substances on Earth. Lots of women will appreciate a diamond solitaire, and if you two are close enough to be getting engaged, then she would know your financial status enough to know whether or not you can afford Jennifer Lopez's 3-carat pink diamond or T-Boz's 13 carat diamonds.|||um the real thing versus an immitation get her the real thing the diamond|||A diamond keeps it's value, however most of the cost of the ring is in the ring. The market up on a ring is 300 percent of cost. The market up on a diamond loose is about 50 percent.|||There's nothing like the real thing. It's one thing if she knows it's a fake, but if you try to pass it off as a real diamond, then she finds out it isn't (stuff like that always comes out sooner or later), she'll be very upset...|||i picked out a tanzanite stone for my engagement ring..|||Get the real deal! Even if it is small, if thats all you can afford, then thats all you can afford. Nothing wrong with upgrading later.

The real thing will last forever and means so much more then just a band and a stone!

If you want to go big, hints the cubic, then you want to appear richer. I dont know if thats what your thinking is, but if so.... just dont be that way!

It is by far the most important piece of jewelry you will ever own or buy!|||Probably the main difference is the price. I don't care if it's a ziamond or a diamond... I prefer blue topaz anyway.|||no blood shed and not feeding into a greedy diamond market are great about getting a ziamond. Plus, you won't have to be in debt over it and use the money that you would have spent on the diamond on some fun things for the wedding or for your honeymoon.|||Nothing wrong at all with having a cz - no one else has to know!|||Absolutely do not buy a fake engagement ring. Buy the real thing even if you have to put it on layaway. A real diamond is a keepsake that can be passed down to future generations and does not really depreciate in value. If you buy a fake, you might as well give her something from A Cracker Jack box for all the value it will hold. And yes, they tell you that they are the same. They are NOT.|||Would you want some one to feed you wax fruit instead of the real thing?

Please. This is your LIFE together and you want to start it out with a fake diamond? What else isn't real?

If you can't afford a real one now, start a savings account for it. Maybe you get the ring part now and have the diamonds added later.
